For 3 days I've been struggling to get photos of a female Greater Painted-Snipe that has been showing at Mae Hia, Chiang Mai for quite a while. The first day I failed to even see it. The second day I had a very good opportunity to get really close to it but then it flew away right when I fired my first shot. Today was the third day and I finally got something! I was surprised to see that there were actually 2 females and only 1 male. This is confusing because I've only seen 1 female with many males. I have totally no idea why there were 2 females here and they seemed to go along just fine. Weird.
