Mountain Bamboo-Partridge

Lately, I hadn't scanned any new sketches from my sketchbook, so thought maybe I should share some of the recently made sketches with you guys here. This one is the sketches of Mountain Bamboo-Partridge, one of the several species of partridges found in northern Thailand. I found this pair feeding on the roadside at Doi Lang few months back and they were so cute as they tried to get away by running further ahead along the road. The male's tail feathers were really short, almost as if it didn't have tail feathers, making it look even funnier.

  1. They are fine-looking birds, but not very clever - I've seen them doing something similar in Yunnan. Great sketches !
